Online referral Form

Thank you for contacting The Kids Bank HQ.

We understand that asking for help can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. Our team is here to support local families with kindness, dignity and without judgement.

Who Can Make a Referral?

We welcome both self-referrals and referrals from professionals.

Self-Referrals

If you are a parent or carer who needs support, you are welcome to contact us directly.

Please don't be worried about asking for help. Making a self-referral to The Kids Bank HQ will not automatically result in Social Services or any other agency being contacted. We are here to provide practical support, not to judge your circumstances.

The only time we may need to share information without your consent is if we believe a child or vulnerable person is at immediate risk of significant harm, or if we are legally required to do so. In these rare circumstances, we have a duty to follow our safeguarding responsibilities.

To help us ensure our support reaches families who need it most, we ask you to provide proof of income. This may include:

* A recent bank statement

* A Universal Credit statement

* A benefit entitlement letter

* Any other official document showing your income

Your document must:

* Be dated within the last three months.

* Clearly show your name and address.

You are welcome to cover or redact any information that is not relevant. We only need to verify your name, address and evidence of income.

Professional Referrals

We also accept referrals from professionals working with children and families, including:

* Midwives

* Health Visitors

* GPs

* Social Workers

* Schools

* Family Hubs

* Children's Centres

* Food Banks

* Housing Support Services

* Domestic Abuse Services

* Other recognised support agencies

Where a referral is made by a recognised professional, proof of income is not required.

What Support Can We Provide?

We support children from birth up to 12 years of age by providing a range of essential items, including:

* Clothing

* School uniform (subject to availability)

* Nappies and wipes

* Formula and baby food

* Cots and Moses baskets

* Buggies

* Highchairs

* Toys

* Books

* Baby and children's equipment

* Toiletries and hygiene essentials

* Other children's essentials where available

All of our items are either brand new or lovingly pre-loved. Every donated item is carefully checked to ensure it is clean, safe and in good condition before being passed on to another family.

Although we always do our very best to provide everything requested, our support depends on current donations and stock levels, so we cannot guarantee every item.

How Does It Work?

Complete the referral form below with as much information as possible.

If you are making a referral on behalf of another family, please ensure you have their consent before submitting the form.

Once we receive your referral, a member of our team will usually contact you within 48 hours to discuss your needs and confirm the support we can provide.

Collections are arranged from one of our community hubs located across Thurrock, Havering and Barking & Dagenham.

If you are a professional who would prefer to collect the items on behalf of the family, please let us know on the referral form.

How Often Can Support Be Requested?

Families can usually receive support once every three months.

If your circumstances have changed or you need additional support sooner, please contact us. Every situation is different, and we will always do our best to help where we can.

Your Privacy

We understand that the information you share with us is personal, and we are committed to keeping it safe.

The information you provide, including any supporting documents, will only be used to assess your referral and provide the support you have requested.

Your referral and any uploaded documents are sent securely to The Kids Bank HQ's charity email account and are only accessible to authorised members of our team who process referrals.

We do not print your supporting documents.

When arranging collections, we may share your name with the relevant collection hub or authorised volunteer so they can identify your parcel. We do not share your proof of income, financial information or supporting documents with volunteers, collection hubs or any third party unless we have your permission, are required to do so by law, or there is a safeguarding concern.

All personal information is processed securely and in accordance with UK data protection legislation. For more information about how we collect, use, store and protect your information, please read our Privacy Policy.
